EAMCET 2014 eligibility criteria
EAMCET 2014 for Engineering courses:
applicants have to appeared in or passed 10+2 class or intermediate exam with Mathematics, Chemistry and Physics as associated vocational or elective courses conducted by Andhra Pradesh Board of Intermediate Education or any other equivalent exam.
Applicant must get as a minimum 45% of marks and 40% for reserved category in the subjects specified taken jointly at 10+2
For Engineering and pharmacy courses, applicant age should not be below 16 years as on 31st December and there is no age limit.
EAMCET 2014 for B.Sc (Agri.)/ B.Sc (Horti.) & medical courses:
The candidates who wish for to follow B.Sc (Agri.)/ B.Sc (Horti.) have to pass/ appeared in final examination year of intermediate exam or any recognized examination from equivalent board with compulsory subjects physical sciences, biological or natural science, agriculture and vocational courses in agriculture for B.Sc (Agri.)/ B.Sc (Horti.) and The candidates who wish for to follow medical courses must get as a minimum 50% and 40% for reserved category marks in physics, chemistry and biology and English
- Applicants have to fulfill 17 years on 31st December and age limit is 25 years
EAMCET 2014 exam Pattern: The question paper will be of multiple choice questions (MCQ). All questions carry equal marks. There is no negative marking and each question will be having four choices

Questions from Chemistry – 40
Questions from Biology (Botany and Zoology) – 80

Exam Schedule:
The EAMCET engineering exam will be held on May 17 from 10 am to 1 pm where as the medical stream exam will be in the afternoon of the same day from 2.30 pm to 5.30 pm. The ranks will be declared on June 2, 2014.
This schedule is subject to slight change in accordance with the schedule of general elections announced by Election Commission of India. If there is any clash of the exam date, we may have to change it.
Fee:
The fee for the test remains same as last year i.e. Rs 250. The registration fee can be made through AP Online, E-Seva and Mee Seva centers in Andhra Pradesh.
The OMR answer sheets, which will be appeared in a modified form this year, will be put on website after the declaration of ranks. Candidates have to mark the answers with blue and black pen only failing which their answer sheets will not be evaluated.
There will be no upper age limit:-
The qualifying percentage of marks in the test is 25 per cent of the maximum marks of EAMCET. For the candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes, there is no minimum qualifying marks prescribed. Even if they get zero marks, they can have a chance to get seat through 25 per cent weightage marks of Intermediate.
State Bifurcation Effect:
Aadhaar card details too have to be mentioned in the application but it was not mandatory. The SSC details are a must. This time, the candidates should mention the birth state, birth district, study details and intermediate study details in the application form. Earlier this was not there. The number of applicants, which was 3.96 lakh in both streams last year, may go up this year and likely to be around 4.10 lakh since the increase in Intermediate candidates.
